Maroon and Gold Alliance Wednesday Bowl OPEN THREAD

Its finally time to see some Big Ten teams in bowls

We have finally reached the portion of the bowl schedule where Big Ten teams are joining the party. We have two Big Ten teams in action today, Purdue, and the black and gold team from the south. Luckily, thanks to the work of the Big Ten/ACC and the Pinstripe Bowl organizers, we can reactivate the “Maroon and Gold Alliance”

The Maroon and Gold Alliance is an agreement with Boston College and our friends at BC Interruption. It was born out of our natural hockey rivalries. Both BC and Minnesota share Maroon and Gold as school colors. Both have rivals who wear red and white (obviously Wisconsin for the Gophers and Boston University for BC). However, in times of great need, it can be activated in other arrangements. Like today when BC will take on Iowa in the Pinstripe Bowl. So feel free to cheer for the Maroon and Gold today...even though its not quite the right shade.

And...go ahead and root for Purdue if you want. Up to you. Not going to try and stop you from doing that,
