Keys to a Gopher Win

Maroon_key_medium Defend the Three - Remember that last game when Minnesota got torched from outside? Yea, that can't happen again. Minnesota needs to lock down Maryland's shooters and not give up back breaking 3's.

Maroon_key_medium Bully Maryland inside - Minnesota has the better interior big men. On the defensive end, interior play will be huge if Minnesota is able to defend the three. Keeping Reggie Lynch on the floor is (as always) critical to Minnesota's success in this regard. On the offensive end, Minnesota plays some of their best basketball when the bigs are involved and the team doesn't have to rely solely on ball screens and motion.

Maroon_key_medium Don't let a freshman beat you - Zips will be really unhappy if that happens. Don't let Zips down.

Prediction

Minnesota will win, let's call it by 3. It will not go to overtime. What? I've got a feeling.
