NCAA Bracket 2017: Midwest Region Predictions, Picks, & Upsets

Let’s break down the Midwest Region.

NCAA Basketball: Oklahoma at Kansas Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

It time to talk about the best region, the Midwest Region. Why is it the best? Because all other regions of the country are inferior to the region I was born and raised in. Before we get to my predictions and other TAKES, here's a look at this part of the bracket:

#1 Kansas Jayhawks vs. #16 NC Central/UC Davis

#2 Louisville Cardinals vs. #15 Jacksonville State Gamecocks

#3 Oregon Ducks vs. #14 Iona Gaels

#4 Purdue Boilermakers vs. #13 Vermont Catamounts

#5 Iowa State Cyclones vs. #12 Nevada Wolfpack

#6 Creighton Bluejays vs. #11 Rhode Island Rams

#7 Michigan Wolverines vs. #10 Oklahoma State Cowboys

#8 Miami Hurricanes vs. #9 Michigan State Spartans

Who wins the Midwest Region?

I’m going to go with Louisville.

Who got the best draw?

Purdue should be pretty happy, assuming they can avoid doing Purdue things.

Who got screwed?

Iowa State. I like Nevada as the upset pick in this one.

Who was the surprise?

Michigan at the #7 slot. I thought the committee was going to give them an undeserved bump to a 6. Glad to see it didn’t happen.

Who wins the #5 vs. #12 matchup?

Survey says Nevada.

Who is the region's Upset Lock Of The Week Of The Century?

Nevada over Iowa State. BOOK IT.

Predictions For The Other Regions:

South Region
