Jalen Myrick is fast. Very fast.
At the NFL Combine this morning, the former Gopher cornerback clocked an unofficial 4.29 40-yard dash. If upheld, that would be the fastest 40 time from a Big Ten prospect in the history of the NFL Combine. (Update: See below, but his official time of 4.28 is definitely the fastest ever by a Big Ten player) Watch for yourself:

MY.
GOODNESS.
Jalen Myrick (DB - @GopherFootball) runs 4.29u 40-yard dash! #NFLCombine https://t.co/RPLhbZ0Gxz
For comparison, scouts were raving about Washington wide receiver John Ross after he ran a 4.22 40 at the combine over the weekend. So expect Myrick to start garnering more buzz after this morning’s display of blazing speed.
UPDATE: Myrick posted a still blazing 4.32 unofficial in his 2nd attempt.
