Nate Mason has earned 1st Team All-Big Ten honors after the junior guard averaged 15.5 points , 5.1 assists and just 1.9 turnover per game.
Mason was the Gopher’s most consistent player this season and clearly the go-to guard when his team needed a basket in the clutch. His 31 point game with 11 assists at Purdue was one where he carried the Gophers on his back in a huge road win.
He also chipped in 25 in the Iowa win, 30 against Indiana and 25 to finish out the home schedule against Nebraska.
Mason is the first Gopher to get 1st team honors since Vincent Grier in 2005.
