The 2017 NFL Draft is over, what Minnesota Football players will sign as UDFA’s?

Expect several Gophers to be sign as undrafted free agents later tonight.

The 2017 NFL Draft is dead. Long live the 2017 NFL Draft. This was a very quiet draft for the Minnesota Golden Gophers compared to years past. While Minnesota hasn’t had a ton of draft excitement when compared to an Alabama or an Ohio State, the past few drafts had been quietly busy for any Dinkytown hopefuls. But this year only Jalen Myrick had his name called and it came later than many were expecting.

That said, there should still be Gophers news coming tonight as we start hearing news about undrafted free agent (UDFA) signings. Damarius Travis is guaranteed to get a UDFA deal from someone. I expect that Jonah Pirsig and Mitch Leidner will as well (though I gotta say I hope Mitch doesn’t get the offer from the Minnesota Vikings, lest he be subjected to more needless flack from the local radio hacks for Todd McShay comments he had no control over). Minnesota fans should also keep an eye out for news around Drew Wolitarsky and Jack Lynn.

We’ll have posts for any UDFA announcements we see, so keep an eye on TDG!

GO GOPHERS!
