With the NFL Draft and UDFA signing blitzes behind us, it’s time to see who has landed Rookie Camp deals. Among the many still pursuing their dreams are Mitch Leidner and Drew Wolitarsky.
Former #Gophers QB Mitch Leidner will attend Baltimore's rookie mini-camp, I hear. If all goes well, hopefully signed thereafter.

Misplaced a text earlier from former #Gophers WR Drew Wolitarsky that says he's on his way to #Vikings rookie camp as an invitee.

Per Doogie, the Minnesota duo will be headed to camps with the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings. Mitch will try to land a fall camp roster slot in the Charm City while the Vikes give another Gophers WR a shot (former Gopher Isaac Fruechte landed a practice squad spot through a similar offer a couple of years back).
Unlike a UDFA deal, these offers only guarantee the player a spot at summer rookie camp versus a spot at fall camp. If they perform well enough in Rookie Camp they can then be signed for fall camp. We’re wishing Drew and Mitch the best of luck!
**UPDATE
Because we are stupid and somehow can’t read all of the relevant tweets....we add this that we somehow missed yesterday:
Former #Gophers LB Jack Lynn has invitations to the #Vikings rookie camp then the #Falcons the following week, I hear.

So Lynn will join Wolitarsky at the Vikings rookie camp, and if Lynn does not get an immediate roster spot, he will participate in the Falcons rookie camp the following weekend. Hopefully the Vikings will like what they see and reward at least one of the two former Gophers a 90-man roster spot and let them try and win a roster spot in training camp!
