Minnesota Basketball: Gophers to Play in Local Pro Am Summer League

Catch your current and future Gophers in action this summer!

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Minnesota vs Middle Tennessee State Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Your first chance to see incoming Gopher Isaiah Washington, the NYC 4-star PG who was New York’s Mr. Basketball, and incoming SG-Jamir Harris will be this summer in the Twin Cities Pro Am League.

You may recall the former Howard Pulley Pro Am Summer League that ran in the Twin Cities for years. It was an opportunity to watch current and incoming Gophers play alongside former Gophers and other local basketball players who were usually trying to play professionally in various leagues.

Howard Pulley is no longer around, as mentioned here by Marcus Fuller, but this is year two of the Twin Cities Pro Am and for the first time the Gophers are going to be allowed to participate.

12 of the Gopher’s 13 scholarship players will be participating. Davonte Fitzgerald is not presumably due to recovering from injury. Former Gophers such as Trevor Mbakwe, Jamal Abu-Shamala and Joey King will be participating as well as Apple Valley’s Tre Jones (possibly a future Gopher :))

Rosters can be found HERE.

Schedule can be found HERE.

Games are played at De La Salle High School.
