For the past two seasons, Minnesota Basketball has had a revenue issue. Specifically, season ticket holder renewal rates kept dropping considerably as the team struggled and as new seating donation requirements went into affect. The result was depressed revenue from season ticket accounts, which is less than ideal for obvious reasons. Thankfully, the downward trend has halted!

As I put it on slack, a gushing head wound to the department’s revenue has been cauterized. You can certainly talk about what the means for the buzz around Minnesota coming into the season but the #1 most tangible benefit from this news is stable and consistent revenue year over year, full stop.
The #2 most tangible benefit? Richard Pitino made a funny on Twitter:
Couldn't we just round up to % @GopherMBB ???? Still pretty good #Gophers #unbreakable
