Steven Richardson is a beast and awards watch list season knows it. The Minnesota defensive tackle was named to the Bednarik Award watch list, which I expect will only the first of several award lists he’ll end up on. The Bednarik is given to the best defensive player in college football, as voted on by the Maxwell Football Club.
Richardson has been dominant inside for the Gophers, leading the team in 2016 with 11 tackles for loss and contributing 11 sacks. Not bad for a guy who was too small to play at Northwestern.
Hey @Northwestern am I still too short to play Big Ten football?
