Minnesota Football: Steven Richardson named to Bronko Nagurski Award watch list

Another day into Awards Watch List season, another watch list nomination for Minnesota DT Steven Richardson.

The Nagurski Trophy is of course named for former Gophers star Bronko Nagurski and is given out to the best defensive player in college football. Seeing Richardson nominated for the award isn’t a shock and this was something we expected when he was also put on the Bednarik Award watch list. Steven the Nagurski would be a pretty big shock in all honesty, but it would also be absolutely amazing for some obvious reasons.
