Offensive line recruiting has been a challenge in this recruiting cycle and over the weekend the Gopher staff was able to get a couple new linemen into the fold. Jack York is a tackle who plays for First Baptist Academy in Dallas, is a 3-star recruit and had previously committed to San Diego State.
He is a bright kid who had offers from most Ivy League schools. But the pull of a Big Ten offer (his only P5 offer) was strong enough to accept, even after verbally committing to San Diego State.
As I mentioned, recruiting along the offensive line has been a challenge this cycle. The Gophers are working to get help and depth along the OL. York is a needed addition to this class.
