Losing 2 starters has been a pretty huge blow to Gopher basketball who now will struggle to get any win that they can. Tonight they hit the road to face Northwestern who is without

KEYS TO A GOPHER WIN

• Production from New Starters - Must get production from the likes of Michael Hurt and Bakary Konate both started and combined for 2 points. They don’t need to explode for 20, but they cannot be invisible.
• Monster Games from our Prime Time Players - Nate Mason and Jordan Murphy need to be the best two players on the floor for both teams. They need to carry this team getting as much contribution from whoever decides to step up, but they have to be beasts.
• Make Threes - Northwestern’s defensive 3pt FG% is rather bad (like worse than ours). Let’s drain threes all night and keep the Wildcats at arm’s length.

PREDICTION

It was just several days ago where in this section I said that I’d likely pick the Gophers in every game the rest of the season. Now, I don’t think I can pick them in any. Fingers crossed they prove me wrong.
