The Gopher Hockey team won’t have as much time as usual to think about their depressing past weekend. Minnesota who was swept at home by Michigan for the first time since 1977 heads east to East Lansing for a Thursday night game against the Michigan State Spartans. The two teams will then head to New York City to play one another at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night as part of the Big Ten Super Saturday that will also see the Gopher Basketball team play the Ohio State Buckeyes earlier in the day.
The Gophers are currently in sixth place in the Big Ten just three points ahead of the Spartans. Minnesota swept MSU at Mariucci back in November, but have struggled mightily on the road this season going just 1-8-1 this season in their opponents home rink.
Here are the Gophers lines for Thursday night’s game:
Just over two hours to puck drop here in East Lansing...here are tonight's lines for the #Gophers for Game 27.

Minnesota gets Tommy Novak back after he missed four games with a wrist injury. He gives the Gophers another scoring threat immediately, and one that they desperately need.
It appears Eric Schierhorn will get the start in net for Minnesota after he replaced Mat Robson after a period in Friday night’s loss to Michigan and then took the loss in Saturday night’s tilt against the Wolverines.
We will have more on the series and a preview of Super Saturday on Friday.
