Tracking the freshmen who retain redshirt eligibility for Gopher football and who is burning a year.

Two very important things for this week’s redshirt tracker.

1 - We have now put 5 games in the books and several players are not eligible to redshirt this year. Next year, they will be sophomores. The names aren’t exactly unexpected, but we are populating a new section.

2 - Daniel Faalele is now your new starting right tackle after replacing Sam Schueter in the third quarter against Iowa. Technically this was only his second game of action, but it is fully expected that he will play out the rest of the year.
