Broken Chair Trophy events on Minnesota vs. Nebraska week

Howdy friends! I hope everyone is having a magnificent Broken Chair Week! There are two important things I wanted to call out as this week’s Gophers game at Nebraska draws near.

First, fans of The Chair have TWO opportunities to get up close and personal with this amazing rivalry trophy in person:

• The first is this Thursday night (Oct 18th) from 6pm-9pm CT on campus at Stub & Herbs (Facebook event link)
• For anyone headed to Lincoln, there is also a party for The Chair on Friday night (Oct 19th) from 7pm to 11pm at Blue Blood Brewing Company (Facebook event link)

Definitely be sure to get to one (or both!) events to hang out with fellow Broken Chair lovers, be they Gopher or Husker.

The second thing is please donate to this year’s edition of the Broken Chair Trophy Fundraiser.

One of the best things about the return of The Chair is that the folks behind it are using it’s presence as an opportunity to raise funds for the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Children’s Hospital and the Team Jack Foundation. Last year they raised approx $7500 and this year the goal is $10,000. Thus far they’re a little over halfway to breaking that chairitable goal.

Please help make this another successful year for the fundraiser. 100% of proceeds raised go to the Children’s Hospital and Team Jack, with each organization receiving half of the funds.
