Friday Night Lights for Minnesota and Indiana - OPEN THREAD

Two teams needing a win, meet under the lights of Friday night

NCAA Football: Minnesota at Ohio State Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

It has been well established that these two teams haven’t seen each other in quite some time. This is the only Big Ten team to have not yet played a game at TCF Bank Stadium and we get them on a very rare Friday night tilt.

But the real question is, can the Gophers get their first Big Ten win of the season?

3 KEYS

  • NO BIG PLAYS - Do I sound like a broken record? YES! But this team will not beat anybody unless they figure out a way to not give up so many big plays. It isn’t like they give up one or two per game, that you can recover from. But they give up 6+ per game and you just can’t overcome that with such a young offense. We try to counter by making big plays happen on that side of the ball, but they just are not there yet.
  • Run the Ball - Get some sort of a ground game going and use it to keep the Hoosier offense off the field. The offensive line is getting better and getting some first downs on the ground would be vert helpful.

OPPOSING PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • #12 QB- Peyton Ramsey - A couple interceptions from Ramsey would be really nice.
  • #31 DB - Bryant Fitzgerald - Freshman defensive back with two picks this season.

PREDICTION

I know that everyone is down on this team. I’m sensing a bounce back game after the Nebraska debacle

Minnesota - 33
Indiana - 30
