Halftime at TCF Bank Stadium, Gophers lead Hoosiers 21-9

Plenty of offense, plenty of points and a 21-9 lead at the half for Minnesota

NCAA Football: Indiana at Minnesota Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

The Gopher defense was the definition of “bend but don’t break” in the first half of the Friday Night tilt with Indiana. The Hoosiers moved the ball with relative ease early but were unable to muster anything except 3 field goals and a punt.

The Gopher offense, led by Tanner Morgan, scored touchdowns on 3 of their drives with one fumble as the only time their offense was stopped.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Tanner Morgan finishes the half 12/14, 203 yards and 3 touchdowns
  • Shannon Brooks with a 5.0 yard per carry average and 40 yards rushing
  • Jordan Howden with three pass breakups
  • Tyler Johnson makes his 100th career reception, the 100th being his 2nd touchdown of the night

Minnesota gets the ball to start the second half leading 21-9.
