Minnesota Football: Gophers in the NFL Week 8

It was once again not a great week

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

With two teams on bye there weren’t a ton of opportunities for former Gophers to succeed this week....and they didn’t.

Maxx Williams— Tight End—Baltimore Ravens

Week 8 at Carolina Panthers

Williams was inactive for the Ravens loss to Carolina. The Ravens dressed just three tight ends and Maxx was the 4th guy. Ouch.

Week 9 vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Briean Boddy-Calhoun—Cornerback—Cleveland Browns

Week 8 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Boddy-Calhoun recirded two tackles and assisted on one more in the Browns loss to the Steelers. He played 55 defensive snaps—77% for Cleveland. How that will chance with DC Gregg Williams taking over as interm head coach next week?

Week 9 vs Kansas City Chiefs

Tramaine Brock—Defensive Back—Denver Broncos

Week 8 at Kansas City Chiefs

Brock played 32 defensive snaps for the Broncos in their loss to KC. He assisted on one tackle but recorded two pass defenses.

Week 9 vs Houston Texans

Eric Murray—Cornerback—Kansas City Chiefs

Week 8 vs Denver Broncos

Murray played 52 snaps this week in the Chiefs win and recorded five tackles.

Week 9 at Cleveland Browns

Damien Wilson—Linebacker—Dallas Cowboys

Week 8 Bye

The Cowboys had their bye last week.

Week 9 vs Tennessee Titans (Monday Night)

Marcus Sherels—Cornerback/Returner—Minnesota Vikings

Week 8 vs New Orleans Saints (Sunday Night)

Sherels had one kick return for 17 yards and one punt return for 4 yards in the Vikings loss to the Saints.

Week 9 vs Detroit Lions

De’Vondre Campbell—Linebacker—Atlanta Falcons

Week 8 Bye

The Falcons had their bye this week.

Week 9 at Washington

Injured Reserve:

Marqueis Gray-Miami Dolphins

Practice Squad:

Nate WozniakNew Orleans Saints

Jalen Myrick was back with the Vikings for 4 days.....and has been released once again.
