JUST THE FACTS
Minnesota, who has really struggled defensively against Big Ten teams has held an explosive Purdue offense in check for the first two quarters of today’s game. The Gophers hold a 13-3 lead at the break.
Minnesota with three drives taking them inside the red zone in the first half. The first was a field goal after a couple missed opportunities. The second was a touchdown pass from Seth Green to Jake Paulson. And the third scoring drive stalled at the 9 and was Emmit Carpenter’s second FG of the game.
Purdue’s lone scoring opportunity came after a Tanner Morgan interception gave them ball in Minnesota territory to start. This was the only time Purdue was in plus territory all half.
