Blake Cashman has been named co-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after recording 20 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one pass break-up against Northwestern on Senior Day. Twenty tackles is a single-game record for TCF Bank Stadium.

It was an appropriate sendoff for the senior linebacker — with the exception of the final score — in the final home game of his college career. Cashman was snubbed the previous week after tallying nine tackles, 0.5 sacks, one pass pass break-up, one forced fumbled, and one fumble recovered and returned for a touchdown against Purdue.
