Johnson is finishing up a record-breaking season at Minnesota. With 1,112 receiving yards, he became the Gophers’ first wide receiver to break 1,000 yards since Eric Decker in 2008. Johnson is also only the fourth wide receiver in school history to record 10 touchdown receptions in a single season. He surpassed 100 receiving yards in six games this season, which ties a school record. With 11 receptions and 14 receiving yards in the Gophers’ bowl game, Johnson can break the school records for receptions and receiving yards in a single season.
He ranks second in the Big Ten in receiving yards and receptions, and third in receiving touchdowns. Purdue’s Rondale Moore bested him in all three categories.
