After inexcusably dropping their season opener to Charlotte, the Cowboys are coming off a nice 2-1 holiday tournament trip where they lost to Nova but beat a good LSU team by 13. Junior forward Cameron McGriff is the one to look out for here as he leading the team with 17 ppg and 7 rpg.

KEYS TO A GOPHER WIN

Shot Selection - And be ready for a zone, but primarily this team needs to be better at shot selection. Don’t take something too early in the shot clock, don’t force something you don’t have to, take the best shot...and make it please.

Force Turnovers - The Cowboys rank 299th in turnover percentage and Minnesota is coming off a game that was lacking in being disruptive defensively. Come out today ready to be disruptive and get some easy looks off turnovers.

Make Shots - Our shooting was atrocious at Boston College, but hasn’t been real strong anyway. Get good looks, don’t miss dunks, make some threes and get this offense rolling.

PREDICTION

This should be a good game against a potential NCAA Tournament team. I’m optimistic (as always) and think that being home-ish will be good for this team.
