My sincerest apologies for not keeping this up as the last time I updated, it was after the 6th game. We are now 9 games into the season, we’ve had some injuries forcing more guys to play and those still clinging to a redshirt year are getting fewer.

A few guys are pushing the line 4 game limit and the last few games of the year are going to be interesting.

Participated in at Least One Game

  • OG - Curtis Dunlap Jr. (2)
  • TE - Brevyn Spann-Ford (3)

  • DL - Jamaal Teague (4)
  • LB - Braelen Oliver (2)
  • S - Josh Aune (1)
  • DL - Mayan Ahanotu (1)

Has Exceeded 4 Games

  • QB - Zack Annexstad (7) - having last played in the Nebraska game before coming out with an injury. Annexstad is expected to play this week against Purdue.
  • WR - Rashod Bateman (9) - Bateman is the Gopher record holder for most receptions by a freshman receiver. He still has 3 games to go.
  • RB - Bryce Williams (9)
  • OT - Daniel Faalele (6)
  • TE - Max Janes (9)

  • CB - Terell Smith (8) - missed one game due to injury, but has started at corner in all 8 healthy games
  • LB - Thomas Rush (8)
  • DB - Benny Sapp III (9)
  • DB - Jordan Howden (9) - has started the last 2 games
  • LB - Mariano Sori-Marin (8)

Has Not Yet Participated

  • RB - Nolan Edmonds
  • WR - Jornell Manns
  • WR - Erik Gibson
  • OL - Austin Beier
  • OL - Nathan Boe
  • OL - Jack York
  • DB - CJ Smith
  • DE - Alex Reigelsperger
  • DL - Abi N-Okonji

Notable Upperclassmen

  • Justus Harris (SO) (9) - cannot count this year as a redshirt, will be a junior next season
  • Nate Umlor (SO) - not yet played
  • Shannon Brooks (SR) (1) - played in the Indiana game but injured his other knee. He is out for the season and will be able to play next season if he is healthy and wants to do so.
