Scouting Report

Carter often lined up on the outside in his high school team’s 3-4 defense, but will play more on the inside for the Gophers. You can see that he has great size and athleticism to make an impact from the inside at the college level.

Potential Impact

Williams is one of three defensive tackles signed in this recruiting class, so clearly the position was an area of emphasis for head coach P.J. Fleck and co. But I expect we’ll see Carter redshirt as a freshman, with the potential to see some limited game action.
