Scouting Report

Kramer is an efficient quarterback with excellent touch, accuracy, and feel for the game... His ball placement is excellent... He has the arm strength to get the ball down the field and throws with good pace underneath. He has the mobility to make some plays with his feet and can make throws on the run.

Potential Impact

Kramer is certainly the less heralded of the two quarterbacks in this class, but I don’t think head coach P.J. Fleck is in the habit of wasting scholarships. I’m going to operate under the assumption that Kramer, who enrolls in the spring, can come in and compete. The Gophers basically split the 2018 season between freshman quarterbacks Zack Annexstad and Tanner Morgan, so there will almost certainly be a quarterback competition during spring practice and likely into fall camp. We’ll see how Kramer stacks up this spring.
