247 Scouting Report
Massive frame and is still filling it out, but is lean and well-built. Gets off the ball well and has the coordination and balance to drive defenders down field. Really never play against an opponent of his size in high school, but is able to bend well enough to gain pad level against smaller players. Shows twitch and suddenness for a big guy and his basketball abilities also speak to his athletic tools. Very little experience in pass protection. Physically, he has the length and feet to be a good pass protector, he needs the reps and experience there though. Will need to keep adding weight and getting stronger, but has good upside as a potential left tackle prospect.
Potential Impact
I would expect Guedet to redshirt as a freshman, but the Gophers are thin along the offensive line in terms of depth. So if injuries beset the Minnesota Moving Co., Guedet could see the field, even if only for four games to retain his redshirt.
