Wiley is a very strong and stout young man. Blair Angulo of 247 gave this analysis of Wiley: “He is a strong, assertive runner with good size and speed. His physicality allows him to be a bruiser when he has to go between the tackles, but he’s also got the finesse and quickness to excel whenever he breaks it outside.”
Tom Lemming Tweeted that Wiley has “terrific vision, balance and hands.”
Of course a high school analysis is going to be very complimentary but Wiley really is a very nice athlete. He is very strong and brings excellent athleticism to the field. While most are recruiting him at running back (including Minnesota), he does have the athleticism and skills to be a linebacker or safety at the next level.
Potential Impact
With the Gophers loaded at running back, I expect Wiley to redshirt this fall.
