Kohl’s Kicking Scouting Report

Lantz most recently attended the 2018 Kohl’s Kicking National Invitational Scholarship Camp. He showed well in both kicking and punting. Lantz is our former #1 kicker who finished up the summer by having his best performance of 2018. He seems back to where he was when he was kicking at this best. Lantz’s leg speed allows him to do things other top players can’t. This fall season will be big for Lantz as he will be called upon to produce for his team during his senior year.

Potential Impact

Lantz will compete with redshirt junior John Mack, redshirt sophomores Anders Gelecinskyj and Grant Ryerse, and redshirt freshman Brock Walker for the vacant starting kicker spot this fall. Graduating senior Emmit Carpenter has served as the Gophers’ starting kicker for the past three seasons.
