BTN

The season really began to unravel for the Gophers when they went to Lincoln and lost in early December. That was before the injuries and suspension, but that was the moment when the signs of this team not being the top-15 caliber team we thought was began to show. Meanwhile, Nebraska has earned their way to an 8-4 Big Ten record, almost certainly on their way to an NCAA Tournament bid. Maybe the Gophers can help thwart that momentum.

KEYS TO A GOPHER WIN

  • Healthy Lineup - This is sort of a pipe dream but having Amir Coffey would really help. Adding his skill set to go along with Nate Mason and Jordan Murphy gives this team more punch and more ability to compete.
  • More Jelly - The Isaiah Washington we saw at Michigan is the one I’d like to see tonight. The one who made more than half of his shots and didn’t turn the ball over.
  • Attack - Really it is more about picking up the pace. Nebraska runs a slow pace and if we can control the pace of play, we should improve our chances of winning.

PREDICTION

I’m going with irrational confidence tonight. Gophers get the win.
