Minnesota Football Spring Game: How To Watch

As you should already be aware, the “wonderful” weather forecast for Minnesota this weekend forced the Minnesota Golden Gophers to move their Spring Game to tonight. While I know this will inconvenience many of you, the good news is that we still get football to watch! In that spirit, here’s everything you need to enjoy tonight.

Spring game details

When/where is it happening? Head down to TCF Bank Stadium tonight for the 6pm start!

What does it cost to attend? Nothing! The spring game is free to everyone.

When do the parking lots open? The lots open for spring game parking at 3pm. Parking in Lot 37 and the Maroon, Gold and Victory lots will be $4, while parking in the Gopher lot will be $6.

Can I tailgate? Sadly no, thanks to the rescheduling of the game tailgating is not allowed.

What will I do for food? Well, you could always stop by your favorite Stadium Village haunt but the Gophers will have free food at their FanFest. The FanFest runs from 4-6pm near Gate A

Is the game on TV? Big Ten Network will air the game tonight (4/12) at 8pm CT.

How about streaming, can I stream the game anywhere? You can watch the game live on BTN2Go.com and the BTN2Go app.

Where are they collecting the oars? If you decorated an oar, you should bring it to Gate A.

I can’t go tonight, can I still donate an oar? Yep! Just go to the Gophers ticket office at Mariucci Arena during business hours Monday-Friday and they can take your oar.

Is there a tornado coming? FYI, there is a tornado siren test tonight at 6:45 PM so don’t be freaked out if you’re at the game. Had this been a real tornado they would put up instructions on the scoreboard for you to follow.

Who should I cheer for? The new wrinkle this year (besides the team playing an actual game) is the draft format that was used to create Team Gold and Team Maroon. Fans are encouraged to wear the color of the team they are rooting for to the game. Personally I’m rooting for Team No Injuries, but if forced to pick I would be Team Gold. An informal poll of the staff has the tally as three four Team Gold supporters and two Team Maroon supporters. WOO GOLD WOO!
