So this is a cool thing. Instead of a traditional “new head coach” press conference open to the media and select others (read: boosters), the U has announced that Lindsay Whalen’s first press conference as head coach of the Gophers will be open to the public.
Doors open at 2, Coach Whalen hits the stage shortly after 3. Be at the Barn to help us welcome @Lindsay_13 home! https://t.co/4D2J4sDYFJ

Also cool? They’re holding it on the court in Williams Arena as opposed to the main club room at TCF or one of the spaces in Bierman. The press conference will also be streamed online (full info below) so you can still catch it even if you can’t be there in person.
Full press conference details
When: Today - Friday April 13th, 3pm CT. Doors will open to the public at 2pm CT.
Where: Williams Arena, Minneapolis, MN
Streaming: The press conference will be streamed on the Gopher Sports Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages as well as on BTN2Go.
Radio: The press conference will be carried across the Gopher Radio Network, though it will be up to each station’s discretion whether or not they air it live.
