Head coach P.J. Fleck won’t sign the Class of 2020 until December of next year, but that hasn’t stopped 2020 in-state wide receiver Jonathan Mann from rowing the boat. The Rosemount product has committed to play for the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Not all of the recruiting sites have had a chance to evaluate Mann, so he does not yet have a 247 Composite Rating, but 247 Sports considers him a three-star prospect and the 58th-ranked wide receiver for his recruiting class. Mann is currently a top 300 prospect nationally. He is also the third-ranked prospect in the state of Minnesota — behind dual-threat quarterback Jalen Suggs and linebacker Kaden Johnson — according to 247.
Scouting Report from 247 Sports’ Allen Trieu ($):
He is going to be a physically imposing college receiver. He eats up ground fairly quickly. He gets off the ball well, has a long stride, and can get downfield. He shows solid run after the catch ability. He may not elude defenders like a smaller guy, but he knows how to run away from tacklers and get to open field.
High School Career
Mann played quarterback as a freshman at Rosemount High School, before switching to wide receiver last season. As a sophomore, he recorded 30 receptions for 662 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
