The Minnesota Golden Gophers have announced the addition of three future non-conference opponents: Florida Atlantic and Tennessee Tech in 2020, and Eastern Michigan in 2023. All three will be home games at TCF Bank Stadium.

Florida Atlantic and Tennessee Tech complete the Gophers’ non-conference schedule for 2020, with a home game against BYU already on tap. Lane Kiffin, who at one point was believed to be a candidate at Minnesota back before Tim Brewster was hired in 2007, is the Owls’ current head coach. He signed a 10-year contract extension this past offseason, so chances are good that he’ll be making his first visit to Minneapolis since 2010, when he led the USC Trojans to a 32-21 victory over a Brewster-coached Gophers squad.
Eastern Michigan is the Gophers’ only non-conference opponent scheduled for the 2023 season at the moment.
