Minnesota Golden Gophers defensive tackle Steven Richardson signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday evening and will be one of the players on the initial 90-man training camp roster. He will have the opportunity to earn a spot on the final 53-man regular season roster over the course of a full training camp.

We had our pre-draft preview of Richardson here. While undersized, he has an incredible motor and gets great leverage on the line. And from doing some research on twitter, it sounds like Stove will have a legitimate chance to make the Chargers roster this fall.
The Chargers may have gotten a hidden gem in former Minnesota DT Steven Richardson as an UDFA. At one point, I was a slightly high on him. Undersized, but motor always runs hot, decent counters, wins a lot with his natural low pad level. pic.twitter.com/m0uu2M6T4d

Watching just a little video on Steven Richardson, I think he makes this team. He looks the part of what they ask DT in this defense.
