Following the final regular season series, Minnesota took home two of the three weekly Big Ten Awards, but it was from names we have not yet seen win this distinction. Patrick Fredrickson has won several weekly awards this year as had a few different position players. This week it was two new names who dominated the Big Ten awards.
Reggie Meyer - Pitcher of the Week
The team’s Friday starter threw 8 scoreless innings against Rutgers giving up 3 hits and notching 5 strikeouts. The junior from Totino Grace finishes the season with a 6-3 record. This was Reggie’s first weekly Big Ten award.
