Time for a quick Nugz. No time to waste, no opening paragraph, just links to help you waste time on your Tuesday.
Gopher Stuff
- Lets kick this off with Coach Linsay Whalen’s first recruit commitment. Sara Scalia is a dynamic scorer (26.5 ppg as a junior) and was very excited to be Whalen’s first recruit.
- Gopher baseball is rolling and it is in part to the adjustments John Anderson has made over his 37 year career as the Gopher head coach.
- Recap of Day 1 of the Gopher Road Trip.
Around the Big Ten West
- SBN’s recruiting guru, Bud Elliott was at the Chicago Under Armour All-American camp and recaps the state of recruiting for a couple teams pertinent to us.
- Former Hawkeye basketball player, and a kid that the Gophers were strongly pursuing, has decided to transfer to Kentucky to play...FOOTBALL? Ahmad Wagner is actually doing that.
- I’m sorry if this makes you lose your breakfast but Wisconsin has erected a Bucky Alvarez statue.
- The Champaign Room is running down their favorite Illini moments of the 2017-18 school year. Hey TDG Staff...we should think about doing this.
- Nebraska has the 2nd toughest schedule in the country, I guess.
- Here’s an awesome film study of what Bryant McIntosh meant to Northwestern basketball. Sadly the highlights come at the expense of poor Gopher defense.
- Purdue basketball still needs some additions for their 2018 class and Travis looks ahead to the 2019 class as well.
