Look, if you clicked on this post I’m assuming you have questions. Like “WHY ARE WE PLAYING MAD LIBS ON A GOPHERS BLOG?” or “CHRIS STREVELER THREW ONLY 7 PASSES HERE AND YET YOU’RE STILL TALKING ABOUT HIM WHY IS THAT?” or “WHAT IS THE AIRSPEED VELOCITY OF AN UNLADEN SWALLOW?”
While I think it is very rude of you to scream those questions at me in all caps, I am still willing to provide some answers:
- Because offseason.
- Because Jerry Kill might think Streveler is the second coming all of a sudden* which is really weird since he wouldn’t make him his QB while he had the chance. Also, the inability of his program (and that of his right hand dude, Tracy Claeys) to ever put better than Mitch Leidner (all praises be upon him and his Island) out on the field will never stop annoying the crap out of me.**
- What do you mean? An African or European swallow?
In other words, don’t overthink it and enjoy a very special Chris Streveler edition of Mad Libs (click here for the full-size image if needed).

*obviously this feels like coach talk about a former player but the wide gap between the sentiment expressed and the reality of how Streveler was handled by the Minnesota staff is just too absurd to avoid scorn. If the dude was worthy of these kinds of praises about his leadership and passing ability then how in holy hell did he only see the field as a 1 game injury sub who was never allowed to pass. DOES NOT COMPUTE JURRY.
**I’m Leidner Island till I die, but I’m not blind to the fact that Mitch never cracked a 60% completion rate in any season. If the staff never recruited (or in the possible example of Streveler, never developed) anyone who could beat out Mitch then I rest my case about the whole thing.
