Minnesota opens as 17 point favorites over New Mexico State

The Gophers open the season on Thursday night against the New Mexico State Aggies. However, the Aggies are already 0-1 after a loss to 29-7 loss to Wyoming last night. I only watched portions of the game during the first half (I love me some CFB, but it wasn’t a good game) and what I saw of New Mexico State was not impressive. It would seem that the oddsmakers of Vegas agree, as the Gophers opened as 17 point favorites today with the line already moving to 18.5 in multiple books as of the time this post was published.

There will be more in depth breakdowns of the Aggies to come but the early takeaway from Week 0 of the college football season is that New Mexico State will not be the best team the Gophers face this year. I’m sure you’re all *shocked* by this fact.
