In what is becoming a regular occurrence, [Insert defensive backs coach here] is leaving the Minnesota Golden Gophers to take the same position with [Insert another program here].
Jahmile Addae, we barely knew ye. Best of luck in West Virginia.
#Gophers DB coach Jahmile Addae has accepted a position with West Virginia, his alma mater. @Coach_Addae coached up a young secondary this season and was the lead recruiter for a handful of commits, such as Grimes, Howden, Gordon, Brown, and Wiley.

Addae is the third position coach that head coach P.J. Fleck has had to replace this offseason, after the midseason firing of linebackers coach and defensive coordinator Robb Smith and the recent departure of defensive line coach Marcus West for Charlotte.
Last offseason, it was offensive line coach Ed Warinner, defensive line coach Bryce Paup, and defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist who all needed to be replaced. Staff turnover seems to have become a trend under Fleck, and now some defensive backs and defensive linemen on the roster will enter the 2019 season under their third position coach in three years.
We’ll update you once a replacement for Addae is announced.
