In an effort to get past that 27-point loss the Gophers are going to play another game. This one is at home and this is against an 0-7 Big Ten team but are the Gophers ready to get back into the win column?
KEYS TO A GOPHER WIN
Get Jordan Murphy going again - The senior forward has struggled in the last 4 Big Ten games. 5 points at Wisconsin, 9 points against Maryland, 3/12 shooting against Rutgers and just 3 rebounds at Illinois. Getting him back to a double-double and forcing Penn State to account for him on every possession would be huge.
Lock them down - Penn State’s offense is pretty bad. The Gopher defense needs to lock them down and not give them a chance to get going offensively. Don’t let them gain any confidence.
Make shots - Sounds so simple, but this offense is actually pretty good when someone is making shots from the perimeter.
Gophers will bounce back and win this one. Easy enough to come into a game focused after you just lost by 27 to one of the teams who will finish in the bottom 3 in the league. I am more skeptical of the Gophers from here on out, but not in this one.
Minnesota - 81
Penn State - 66
