The Minnesota Golden Gophers announced this morning that their Week 9 game against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, Oct. 26, will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. at TCF Bank Stadium.
The game will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The Gophers are 6-0 so far this season but have suffered consecutive losses to Maryland the last two years. The Terps escaped Minneapolis with a 31-24 victory in 2017, before running roughshod over Minnesota a season ago in an ugly 42-13 blowout. This season, under new head coach Mike Locksley, Maryland started 2-0, averaging 71 points per game in wins over Howard and Syracuse. But they’ve gone 1-3 since then and the offense has been inert against every opponent but Rutgers. In losses to Temple, Penn State, and Purdue, the Terps averaged 10 points per game.
They’ll host Indiana on Saturday before making the trip to Minnesota next weekend.
