Minnesota Golden Gophers placeholder Casey O’Brien has been named Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week after holding the team’s final three point after attempts against Rutgers on Saturday. It was a special moment for O’Brien, a four-time cancer survivor, as he made his collegiate debut against a Big Ten team. He was mobbed by his teammates after the first extra point, and shared an emotional moment on the sideline with head coach P.J. Fleck.
