Minnesota drops to No. 11 in Coaches Poll and AP Top 25

Outside the Top 10 looking in after Saturday’s loss to Iowa

Following their first loss of the season, the Minnesota Golden Gophers have dropped to four spots to No. 11 in the Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25, trailing only Ohio State (at No. 2 in both polls) and Penn State (at No. 9 in both polls) among Big Ten teams.

Iowa gained marginal ground in the Coaches Poll, moving up from No. 22 to No. 20, and in the AP Top 25, moving up from No. 23 to No. 19. Michigan, who beat put a beating on their in-state rival Michigan State, sits one spot behind the Gophers at No. 12 in both polls. Wisconsin moved up one spot in both polls, checking in at No. 14 after defeating Nebraska on the road. Indiana dropped from the Coaches Poll after their loss to the Nittany Lions.
