Minnesota ranked No. 9 in Coaches Poll and AP Top 25

These rankings are ultimately meaningless but oh well

The Minnesota Golden Gophers dropped to No. 11 in both polls last week after suffering their first loss of the season, but rebounded to beat Northwestern on Saturday and have returned to the Top 10, checking in at No. 9 in the Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25.

Ohio State remained unbeaten and clinched a spot in the Big Ten Championship, holding on to the No. 2 spot in both polls. With their loss to the Buckeyes, Penn State dropped to No. 12 in both polls. Michigan slid past the Nittany Lions to check in at No. 11 in the Coaches Poll and No. 10 in the AP Top 25, while Wisconsin stood pat at No. 14 in the Coaches Poll and moved up to No. 13 in the AP Top 25. Iowa eked out a win over Illinois to keep their spot at No. 20 in the Coaches Poll and No. 19 in the AP Top 25.

The latest College Football Playoff rankings will be announced on Tuesday.
