The Minnesota Golden Gophers are within weeks of the Early Signing Period, and head coach P.J. Fleck and co. are still hard at work closing out the 2020 recruiting class, earning a verbal commitment from Florida wide receiver Douglas Emilien.

With less than a month until Signing Day, this is an interesting development, because the Gophers now have six wide receivers in this recruiting class: Emilien, Daniel Jackson, Jonathan Mann, Justin Bellido, Dylan McGill, and Dakota Thomas. I would very surprised if all six end up signing with Minnesota, but we’ll see what happens in the next two weeks.
