Key Questions Answered
Who wins the West Region?
I think the narrative for Virginia changes this year. Last year was one they will learn from and they have a favorable bracket up to the regional final. Wisconsin and Kansas State are two of the weaker 4 and 5 seeds, especially when it comes to offense. Virginia may hold them to 35 points (I kid...a little). Purdue and Tennessee could come out of this one, but I’m going to go with the Cavaliers.
Who has the best mascot in the region?
This one is easy and possibly the best mascot in the field, but it’s the UC Irvine Anteaters.
Who are the players to watch?
Carsen Edwards is a really good college guard and fun to watch. Be ready for the stat about Purdue’s record when he takes a bazillion shots vs. games when he doesn’t, but I say let the kid shoot. We all know that he’s just really good when he’s not being defended by Gabe Kalsheur.
Who wins the #5 vs. #12 matchup?
Oregon cause duh. And this one might actually be legit, not just because I hate Wisconsin. Oregon is hot! And despite the fact that they are a Pac12 team and the Pac12 sucks, they are really rolling.
Who is the Guaranteed Upset Special?
Oregon. They are pretty evenly matched with Wisconsin and are just playing so good right now.
