The Minnesota Golden Gophers’ 2020 recruiting class is starting to build some momentum, nabbing their second verbal commitment in less than a week. Last night it was Texas offensive lineman Casey Collier who committed to playing for the Gophers.

Scouting Report
This is one of those occasions where I’ll have to trust that head coach P.J. Fleck and offensive line coach Brian Callahan know what they’re doing. Not a highly rated prospect ahead of his senior season, with no Power 5 scholarship offers. But Collier certainly has the size necessary to be a solid offensive tackle, especially if he can continue to add strength. He’ll be one to watch this fall. If he can take a big step forward in his development, Collier could see more offers start to pour in, making him a steal out of Texas for Fleck and co.
