For the second time in three weeks the Gophers have had someone earn Big Ten Player of the Week honors. Two weeks ago it was Jordan Murphy grabbing the distinction for the 6th time in his career and today it was Amir Coffey getting the award for the first time in his Gopher career.
Minnesota had just one game this week but Coffey scored 31 in the Gopher’s win at Northwestern while shooting 12/19 from the field while grabbing 12 rebounds.
Huge game for Coffey and a really big win for the Gophers as they fight to keep themselves on the safe side of the Bubble.
