Gopher hoops just received commitment from Sam Freeman at a position of great need.
Next season Gopher hoops appeared to have a dearth of big men, but Richard Pitino and staff have secured one high school big man to come in and have a chance to compete immediately.

High School: Northwest HS in Justin, TX
Freeman is a big bodied center who is known primarily as a rebounder and defender. Will be fun to see him playing off Oturu in the coming years and it should be a physical paint for the Gophers. I really like how these two could potentially compliment each other offensively and really own the paint defensively.
